I always wanted to do any kind of civic duty. Before, not so long ago, i dreamt of representing the philippines-- yep in that line of foreign service. But things change and yet the dream is still peeping out of my heart.
I got an invitation to help NAMFREL this year. With not knowing how big the task was, i was given an appointment letter on the first called meeting.
i was about to give up half way thru. I didnt have the patience of calling people to volunteer.. talking to sisters and giving me the homily like answer of a no.
Yet the day of the elections came and as much as i havent slept at all... it's fulfilling to know and actually experience this whole Philippine elections-- yep i saw it all.. the vote buying, the dagdag bawas, sleepy teachers, defective electoral returns, poll watchers, PPCRV, and the lack of food for volunteers.
but at the end of the day, when all rants were given i receive the best messages from the people i only worked with for just one 8 hour shift.
Efren Nierva: Siena VCM:
U'r Most welcom! Glad to be of help!
Minnie Herrera: District 1 Courier:
