Work has been work all these times. I miss the days when i go to work to hang out while working( i miss you batch 1!). I'm so detached to this batch. I dont know why. maybe age gap matters. and it seems that it matters a lot (my staff is ranging from 18 to 24). i dont get to the groove of their wave length anymore.. as much as the first batch did. well i guess, first will always be first and it will always be the most memorable and that I'M OLD.
Family's been busy with the coming wedding of alexie. centerpieces, gowns and all those wedding momentos are taking it's lead. this saturday is food tasting day-- not for the wedding but for the despedida del soltera-- and who's the chef.. yep.. its pierre and his ischam team.
speaking of pierre.. we had our laid back yet not so laid back date last rainy friday night. after doing errands for the house, we opted to have a quiet romantic evening at Bizu. For a chef to be, it was his first time to try it out there. After his week of competition, he pretty much showed off his improved skills when the waitress came back to our table and said that they ran out of raspberry dressing for our duck confit salad. and in his chefly tone, he said "then just make us a citrus vinigrette then add oranges on the side". And yep, we got what he wanted.
so after a long long long time of not having these long quite dates, of course it didnt end quite well. What's a perfect date with out the struggle right? So when we were on our way home, stuck in traffic.. pierre's car when wacko! his cambio got stuck to first gear! and first gear alone. i asked him to stall the car at the gasoline station coz we never know what might break next (growing up with the car fixing addict father and brother makes you panic a little when you have a boyfriend who only knew how to drive... and only learned quite recently) ... so apparently, the car wont budge from first gear to at least neutral. it was crazy. REALLY crazy. but thanks to his good old pal Gian who practically pulled the car out of the parking with his van and welcomed his car for the night at his house-- then brought us home. It was crazy!!!
So that rainy weekend was pretty crazy, and the week ahead will be crazier.
