this weekend took be centuries back. :)
friday. lex invited me to watch a friend's band playing at eastwood. and lo and behold, who else do i see performing.... RSA's band. hahaha it was fun.... given that the other band members were also of the philo dept! panalo! i had my margarita and one bottle of san mig light-- which i find so similar to soda water. hehehe
saturday. openned the shop. then off to intramros for a walking tour of manila:) all i can say panalo!:D snaps for Carlos celdran (www.celdrantours.blogspot.com) you changed the way i see this city really. :) best learnings:
1. chinese-spanished.
2. langit-impyerno (langit is an old tagalog word, also used in malaysia as "sky"--- impiyerno is spanish-- thus, therefore.... )
3. we pinoys decorate to death.... burloloy!!
there are so many really but in the end, yes, the philippines does have a damaged culture. and that is our culture identified through out the world. Sad but this what makes us pinoy.
i want to try his binondo tour! i'm sure there is so much more historical insights from there:)
i'm browsing my history books again!
