Travel

So for the past year and a half i have been in and out of the country with almost 30 airplane rides since January of 2010. Domestic and international travel is one of the passions that i would like to retain till i am old and gray. Though i have been traveling since i have 1.5 years old, the past year made me travel alone and made me learn myself further thru these new set of life experiences.

Traveling alone makes you have that sense of mothering yourself. It teaches you how to take care of your self and how to deal your day to day life as if for the first time. It is indeed a luxury to travel, it is a worldly lifestyle that makes you realize that the world will never adjust to you, it is you who will adjust to the world you meet everyday.

Like all great travelers, I have seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen. In previous blog writings of old, i have said that tourists are just for the spots while travelers are those who go and just let go. Perhaps it is truly thru travel that you see life in a fuller view. I maybe sheltered at some point i have to say, i can connect with the world with different languages and not go hungry nor go lonely-- i maybe alone but never lonely.

Some others say that it is with travel that there ain't no surer way to find out whether you like people or hate them than to travel with them.--- it is also with yourself. You discover the things that appeals to you. You realize that there are certain things that you like doing and do not like doing. You finally know your habits and hobbies that you'd like to continue when you go back to your "normal" life.

Travel as a tourist is amazing but never just see the world as a tourist--- because the world is our home and as life travelers, we have to make the world our home. We keep on discovering not just what has been discovered but to discover oneself in these travels is what makes journeys memorable-- which those photos will never capture.
