i spent the afternoon at ASLA today. At the end of the day, i felt old. HAHAHAHA. though it was great to meet up with odd old friends and even the administrators who actually remembers me (i love VP intal and RSA forever!) hehehe only a few may understand huh?! :P hahaha
it was amusing to see how energetic they are-- especially the participants! how happy they are to be part of ASLA. i wouldn't blame them really. i was once in their shoes and i know how it feels to be part of such a great bunch of people.
but i felt old. hahaha wala lang i was introduced to be part of the "old"er people. those who made asla happen last year and those who were participants of asla. hahaha. it was really great to spend the afternoon in ateneo. kakaiba. it helped me to stay sane. hahaha.. oo naloloka na talaga ako. esp the no off week last week!
how i wish i could keep them inside the bubble of the ateneo. but hindi eh. at oen point that bubble will pop. (mine has already, but that's because ive taken the risk of popping it. though the bubble has been a great security blanket.. a lot of people will try to pop it believe me. even your close great friends will.) But i believe that ASLA will shower them with much inspiration to be able to conquer the world we all live in. sabi nga ni vp intal "when i was in hs, those 4 years felt like forever... when i was in college, those 4 years felt like forever as well" that's why i suggest that you savor all thsoe forevers, because as i've said.. while some good things never last, others dont even start.
until now, i thank asla for making me, me. for bringing out the best in me. see you all on saturday!
After my third asla: as much as i want to conquer the world, i know i was placed here to inspire a few, so the few may inspire the many. deep conversations. deep connections. that's how i want it.
as for other news, though i hoped that i was not going to close tonight, i had to. Alexie is sick
"alex-sick" as how our baristas have placed it. haay i guess it's all overwork and over stressed. kakasawa na mag grocery runs! but wala ganun talaga. business is business. though, happy trip to pierre!:D yugn OC ko ha sabi mo yung akin bukas:P nyahaha. at ang otap ni arlene!
i was talking to vanny this afternoon, and we were talking about corporate life. though she hasnt graduated her ojt has given her a good glimpse of corporate world. i would have to agree on certain things that she pointed out.. how it makes you feel "cold" towards other people, how it makes you not actually "socialize" with others esp when ur staring at the computer the whole day and the only people you talk to are those in YM (and it depends if your office allows YM!.. hahaha) i guess life's like that. in the end, as long as you like what you're doing , go ahead. as we say, love your calling with passion, it is the meaning of your life.
oh, and ive heard some news too from arlene. :( sad but i guess that's how life is. we are beings toward death to a new life.
AND..
Have a halloween treat at the coffee beanery banawe. let our baristas treat and trick you. Order any of our frosted javas and you'll see!. meet me there!:D
