At the age of 25, i was able to accomplish the things that i wanted to happen. Talk about 5 year plans and making sure that the jump from the spring board was good enough to make me reach the place i wanted to be in right now.
Career wise, i have gotten to that point where in have been invited to career talks both in college and in high school. :) And i love doing these.. It makes me really go back and realize how i was in the start and how i was able to grow from a mere college grad ready to meet the world to someone who is able to manage both herself and a group of really cool people willing to learn from me. Who would have thought that my career is also my business? I was able to finish my masters degree in this quarter of a century of being alive! (and yes, i got out of it alive too!). At least i can say that 40% of my 5 year business plan (my thesis for my masteral degree) is being implemented, yet tweaked for recession issues. More than that, lessons learned from gurus, drill masters and friends are well placed that i am able to see the opportunities in this crisis. Oh, and I fulfilled my dream of being featured in entrepreneur magazine (november 2008).
Travel was widely domestic. in a span of 3 weeks in October to November i was able to see the beauty of the islands. I went to Palawan with one of the best travel groups i've ever had. Thanks to the real puerto princessa for hosting such a great vacation--- where we had to be visionaries for our own businesses... and our friend's businesses. Business plan making i honda bay while having a massage! After that, I trained and helped my friend open his coffee shop in Ormoc, Leyte. It was also my first time to experience teaching to 70 students of coffee--- mostly spoken in tagalog! Who would have thought that there would be gourmet coffee market in Ormoc! That was a fun trip as we had to divert to Cebu to get back to Manila! So my 8 hours in cebu was really spent sleeping.. but nonetheless exciting coz i had to take the supercat to get there! It doesnt end there! My galpals in ME, decided to visit the guru of all comedy gurus in Cagayan de Oro by leaving at 430 in the morning to hit the white water rafting at 8am! damn that was fun! I shouldn't also forget my Family bonding time in Baguio... PLUS another Baguio trip for a catering stint last May! Thru all that, I was amazed on the peacefulness of provincial life! An escape out of the madness of the cityscape... and elegance in simplicity. :)
Of course who would forget pierre's big bang to start my bday? ha ha! but we've learned to laugh it out.... after a year? We turned 3 this year too! We've grown closer as a couple and this time we remembered that "in building us, we do not forget ourselves." Im glad we're still on the same page:)
I dont want a long entry, but i just felt that i need to write something to remember this year by.
thanks to all who were part of it!
