It has been four months already that i have been reading case studies AIM style. Now even to my out of boredom books, i am reading it with a mindset of a case study. (dang with my dermatograph and all).
I'm currently Reading "Deluxe: How Luxury Lost its luster"
i just want to share excerpts of this.
"The way we dress reflects not only our personality but also our economic, political and social standing and our self-worth...setting apart the haves and have-nots. "
"Luxury wasn't simply a product. It denoted a history of tradition, superior quality and often a pampered buying experience. Luxur was a natural and expeted element of upper-class life--like belong to the right clubs or having the right surname. "
Luxury is an industry.
"luxury has changed th way people dress. it has realigned our economic class system. It has changed hte way we interact. It has become a part of our social fabric. To achieve this, it has acrificed its intergirty, undermined its products, tarnished its history, tycoons have stripped away all that has made it special"
