capping the week

i went to mass today at the Gesu. Yes, i love hearing mass at the ateneo because it makes me humble. it makes me understand my faith. (woohoo.. yes, theo 121's faith seeking understanding does make sense). I was listening to the homily, with fr. ben as homilist, i was all ears since i always loved the way he'd explain things and contextualize it in the most socio-cultural way. Today, he dedicated his homily to the graudating class of 2006. Then it hit me, i'm not part of that class anymore.

reality bites. hard. with pangs.

but it's not all that bad. besides, i got to cap my week not just with a good eucharistic celebration but being with a great friend:) anya and i literally shopped till we dropped. no schedules. no plans. no nothing. only the two of us heading for yet another misadventure. the last time anya and i actually shopped like crazy was in that stinking already forgotten by the world, gaisano mall in cebu. But mind you, we didnt shop for belts this time, but we shopped for 'corporda' look... i was out to buy a wallet-- i went home with an empty one or almost empty at that. Then again, why feel so down about it, as i said we were contributing to the philippine economy. :) blame me and anya if the peso gets stronger. ha ha ha. but, hay, even if it was all of impulse buying, it was all a good buy.

thanks for a great weekend. :)
